General Practitioner – Family practice. United Kingdom.

Available to Graduates, experienced General Practitioners, European and International General Practitioners !

IELTS applies to European and International Candidates only, Min of IELTS 7.0 overall, with a minimum score of 6.5 in each skill domain (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
acceptable alternatives to IELTS (eg OET Band B)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

QUALIFICATIONS

Medically qualified with general practitioner related experience this is key
completed formal training as a general practitioner with either:
approved EU qualification
Certificate of Eligibility for GP Registration (CEGPR)

ELIGIBILITY

Eligible to be on or on the GMC GP Register
be eligible to gain Legal Right to Work as determined by https://www.gov.uk/legal‐right‐work‐uk
eligible for UK Medical Performers’ Lists

PROFESSIONAL VALUES AND BEHAVIOURS

In good standing and with no licensing restriction from own regulatory body

Equivalent of DBS check from home country (if available)
Awareness of the duties of a doctor as laid out in the GMC Good Medical Practice domains
Up to date and fit to practise safely
Aware of own training needs and limitations

PROFESSIONAL VALUES AND BEHAVIOURS ‐ HEALTH

Applicants must meet professional health requirements (in line with GMC standards / Good Medical Practice)

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS ‐ LANGUAGE SKILLS

Min of IELTS 7.0 overall, with a minimum score of 6.5 in each skill domain (reading, writing, speaking, listening)

Demonstrable skills in written English

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS ‐ CLINICAL SKILLS

Demonstrate the capability to act competently in the role of a general practitioner

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

Be able to provide complete details of their employment history with explanation of any gaps in employment
Evidence, that present level of achievement and performance is commensurate with the totality of training
Evidence of participation in continuing professional development to keep knowledge, skills and capabilities up to date
Evidence of regular participation in reviews of performance and progression
